Dorothy Feduke's Obituary
Dorothy Feduke of Binghamton, New York and Fort Myers, Florida, age 89, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018 in Fort Myers from complications of IPF, a lung disease and Alzheimer’s Disease.She was born on May 31, 1928 into a large family of 10 children in Binghamton, New York to Lawrence and Anna Kozak. Dorothy spent her life in the Binghamton area where she met the love of her life, John Feduke, her surviving husband of over 67 years. She worked at the New York Telephone Company in the early years, married in 1950 and had 3 sons, Gregory Feduke with fiancé Maya Connolly of Binghamton, John Feduke, Jr. with wife, Debra of Nebo, North Carolina, and Michael Feduke of New York City. Dorothy is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Garrett Feduke and wife, Erin, Courtney Pierce and husband, Brian, Camie Fuller and husband, Peter, Natalee Fitzpatrick and husband, Stephen and Edward Feduke. Also surviving are 7 great grandchildren: Noah, Olivia, Lily Bell, Hixson, Keegan, Sophia and Bodhi; her beloved sister, Irene Brown of St. Pete, FL and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Dorothy is predeceased by 8 of her brothers and sisters.Avid golfers, Dorothy and John spent over 35 years as snowbirds and would spend their summers in Binghamton and winter in Fort Myers, golfing and enjoying their family and friends. Dorothy leaves a legacy of great kindness to all she met and selfless love and devotion to her family. Many of her family, friends and golfing community were lucky enough to be given one (or more) of her handmade jewelry bags, of which she made hundreds and hundreds and loved making every one of them. A gentle soul, we will all miss her dearly.In her memory, the family suggests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Central New York, 441 West Kirkpatrick Street, Syracuse, NY 13204.Funeral date and arrangements are pending in Binghamton, NY.
