Dorothy Kwicklis' Obituary
Dorothy passed away on June 26, 2021, at the age of 93. She was the beloved mother of Edward, Monica, and Claire, grandmother of John, Peter, Madeline, and Noah, and wife of John, who pre-deceased her in 1985.
Dorothy was born in Brooklyn to Michael and Anastasia Bush, and had a successful career as a legal secretary for various New York legal and financial firms.
Following the death of her husband, she moved to Lowville, New York, where she enjoyed tennis, achieved her pilot's license, and took the opportunity to travel. She was also a talented artist, whose oil paintings decorate the homes of family members.
Upon her permanent move to Fort Myers, Florida, she was able to enjoy a year-round tennis season, learned to play bridge, and volunteered locally. She was a devout member of St. Columbkille R. C. Church.
Dorothy will be interred alongside her husband, parents, and sister-in-law in St. Vincent dePaul cemetery in Portland, Pennsylvania.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Matthew's House organization.
