I will always remember Dorothy as the epitome of graciousness and someone I would look to as an example of a life well-lived. We met as fellow boaters and enjoyed
the camaraderie of wives and husbands with that common interest for many years. Dorothy was quiet, but with a quick wit and always a big smile. A few years later our paths crossed again through activities of the Symphony Society. Dorothy's reputation as a patroness of the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra was well-established, and her membership in the Symphony Society extended that support for fine music. A member of the Society since 1988, she hosted a number of events, served as president from 1992-93, and was honored for her service. She rarely missed a monthly luncheon or event, right up until the last month of her life. And always, she had a smile and greeting, and bit of conversation for all her friends. Dorothy's motto when she was Society president was, "With a Song in our Hearts." We will miss you Dorothy, but hope you will continue to enjoy a song in your heart, as we have in your memory.
