Dorothy Edith Rhone's Obituary
Dorothy Edith Rhone, 81, passed away December 7, 2013. She was born October 21, 1932 in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania to the late Chester and Ruth (Slighter) Sheaffer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Galen; brother, H. Earl Shaeffer; and sister-in-law, Doris Shaeffer. Dorothy came to Lee County in 1981 from Center Line, Michigan and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the Red Hats. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Norma Halfmann and her husband Walter of Odessa, Florida; sons, Robert Rhone and his wife Betsy of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Donald Rhone and his wife Carlene of Dryden, Michigan; sisters, Anna Chamberlain and her husband Dean and Loretta Hall and her husband Donald both of Shippensberg, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Brian, Kyle, David and Meredith; step-grandchildren, Joshua and Rebecca; and 7 great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service on Friday, December 27th, 2013 at 11:30 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
