I was deeply saddened this afternoon when I learned of Doug's passing. Doug was one of my closest friends as a teenager and young adult and I greatly valued his friendship over the years even though we did not see one another often. When we did get together it was as if the time over the years melted away and we picked up wherever we left off.
I know it was difficult for him in later years and I hope the Almighty is merciful and grants him eternal peace.
