Douglas R. Leland's Obituary
Born in Media, Pennsylvania on February 28, 1935, Doug passed away peacefully on September 19, 2019 at Joanne’s Hope Hospice. Doug grew up in Port Huron, Michigan where he was a car enthusiast and pilot. He moved to Southwest Florida over 40 years ago where he enjoyed a full and wonderful life with family and friends. He and family also enjoyed many summers at their home in Hiawassee, Georgia.Doug is survived by his wife, Mary Pepper Leland. His children, Laurie and her husband Ken from Hawaii, Scott from Tennessee and Wendy from California. Also loved by his stepchildren, Robert and Peggy, Jenny and Jon, James and Amy, Richard and Andrea and many grandchildren.There will be a celebration of life at The Rosemary Room, KJ’s Grill in Fort Myers at 12:30 on Saturday September 28.
