Duane Monroe Disney's Obituary
Duane Monroe Disney of Fort Myers, Florida passed away with his loving family by his side on Saturday, October 15, 2016 following some recent health challenges. He was 86 years old.Duane was born on August 7, 1930 in Washington, Iowa, the proud son of Phebe Marie (Lewis) and Harold A. Disney. As a young man he was a hard working farmer prior to his service in the United States Army during the Korean War. For most of his working life Duane was employed in the trucking and transportation industry and settled in the Fort Myers area around 1960.He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife Phyllis Disney and his sons Dalas, Craig, Randall and Bryan Disney. He also leaves behind a large extended family and a multitude of people who were proud to call him a friend. He will be fondly remembered and warmly missed by all who knew him.Immediate funeral ceremonies are private. Arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
