My dear friend Valerie just let me know of Dwane's passing and I want to pass along my condolences to the family. Dwane was great friends with my parents, Dave and Lynn Klann, at Shell Point and Sanibel Community Church. After Dad passed away, Dwane was a lovely neighbor to our mom and we all appreciated his caring friendship with her. He was a special guy, sweet to the core. I'm sure he'l be missed by his many friends and family!

to the Spohn children, I am very sorry for your loss. I knew Dwane growing up in Fredonia, he was in my brother, Jerry Devins class. I was in Marvins class. (, whom all the girls adored and fought over at dances.) Though I didn't know him well I knew the whole family, and it was a wonderful family which must have made him the man he became. I have lived in Ft. Myers since 1972 and I deeply regret not getting in touch with him. Somehow, life just gets in the way of all those "shoulda, coulda , woulda's" eh?. I love the pic of him, what a great smile and I do see that teenager in those eyes. You were very blest to have had him for so many years. my deepest sympathy to you and yours. Dwane was always a great friend to me and to our family, and for that, I am forever grateful! He was wise, compassionate and faithful! He was a true follower of Jesus Christ! He will be greatly missed. Praying for his precious family!
