Earl Richard Fry's Obituary
Earl Richard Fry of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away peacefully at the Douglas T. Jacobson State Veterans’ Nursing Home in Port Charlotte, Florida on Monday, July 30, 2018 following some recent health challenges. He was 90 years old.Earl was born on February 6, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the proud son to Genevieve (Murphy) and Earl R. Fry. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and received the World War II Victory Medal and European Army of Occupation Medal. He later worked in the Tool and Die sector, eventually owning his own business. He was the loving husband to and leaves behind his wife Linda (Stevens) Fry. He also leaves to cherish his memory his sons Tom, Glenn and Cameron Fry; daughter Sandy Moore and brother Robert Fry. Earl will also be greatly missed by his many extended family members and a multitude of others he met along life’s pathway.Immediate funeral ceremonies are private. Earl will be laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 12:30 PM. Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Army.
