Earl Dale Wolfgang, Captain, U.S. Navy, Ret., 74, of Fort Myers, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018. He was born June 7, 1944 in Salem, OH to Dale Cleland and Pauleen Alice (Bower) Wolfgang. He retired to Fort Myers from Virginia Beach, VA in 1995 after serving for 30 years in the United States Navy attaining the rank of Captain. He was a Naval Aviator and past Commanding Officer of VA-75 Sunday Punchers.Mr. Wolfgang is survived by his wife of 51 years, Susan L. Wolfgang; his siblings: Darlene Belaney (Michael) of Salem, OH and Wayne Wolfgang (Elaine) of Columbiana, OH; his sister-in-law, Debra Lugano (Frank) of Bradenton, FL; his nieces: Brenda Blakely (Chris) of Jackson, NJ, Amy Stoddard (Bob) of Chester, SC, Lisa Yarcusko (Alan) of Brunswick, OH and Christine Kosatka (Len) of Mentor, OH; his nephews: Jared Wolfgang of Somerville, MA, Mark Wolfgang of Cleveland, OH, Robert Gilbert (Christine) of Medina, OH and Michael Gilbert of Lakewood, OH.Mr. Wolfgang will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
