Edith Port, 91, formerly of Cape Coral, FL passed away on November 6, 2010 at the Boca Raton Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Home.?á Ms. Port was born January 2, 1919 in New York, New York, a daughter of the late Solomon and Rebecca Blitt Poritsky.?á Edith was retired from the Motion Picture Distribution Center in New York City where she had been a longtime employee.?á Preceding her in death besides her parents were her brothers, Israel Port, Jack Port and Murray Port and sisters, Bea Roher and Mildred Polevoy.?á She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Michael Port of Portland, OR, Jayne Port of Newfield, NY, Stewart Port of Oakland, CA, Susan Timpson of Sunnyvale, CA,?á Bob Port of Carpenteria, CA,?á Marc Polevoy of Israel, Stephen Polevoy and Michele Aronoff both of Richmond, VA;?á Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.?á Rabbi Bruce Diamond will officiate.?á Arrangements are being handled by Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.?á Online condolences may be made to the family at fortmyersmemorial.com.
