Edith Yachup's Obituary
Edith Yachup of West Palm Beach and a former longtime resident of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully at the Orange Blossom Villa Assisted Living Center on Friday, May 31, 2019. She was 97 years old.Edith was born on October 23, 1921 in New Castle, Pennsylvania, the beautiful daughter to Josephine (Cuda) and Alfred O. Bartlett. She was the loving wife to John A. Yachup who sadly preceded her in death back in 1986. She is survived by siblings Alfred Bartlett, Edward Bartlett and Joy McClemens: also surviving her are many nieces and nephews and their children who she was like a second mother to many.Edith was always smiling and helping others. She enjoyed music, square dancing for fun and competing, she was a member of the Edison Porcelain Artists as she was a beautiful china painter and won many awards at the china shows. She shared her talents on a regular basis with her nieces and nephews when they spent time with her.She will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.A Funeral Service for Edith will be celebrated by Deacon Rich Klish at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Guests will be received for Visitation two hours preceding this ceremony beginning at 11:00 AM also inside the funeral home chapel.
