Eduardo Londono, age 72 of Ft. Myers, Fl., passed away on 6/23/09 after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. Survived by his wife of 43 years Beverly, 2 sisters Mary Aguilar and Betty Rodriguez, brother Jaime Londono, 9 nieces, 5 nephews, and a god-daughter Laurie Ohall.Coming from his birthplace Bogot?í, Colombia, in 1958 he became a U.S. citizen. A sports lover at heart, he played on the North Miami Soccer Club into his late 20’s, winning the “Most Valuable Player” trophy. He enjoyed Nascar racing, dancing, poker, & golf with wife and friends.He worked as a plant manager for most of his years for Rudco Products, Vineland, N.J., semi-retiring to Ft. Myers working as an estimator for Bob Dean Supply for the last 10 years. A member of the Fraternal Order of Elks Lodge #1288, he enjoyed many happy hours with friends.A true gentleman, loving family member, and loyal friend, he will be greatly missed!A memorial mass will be held at The Church of the Resurrection, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive, Ft. Myers, Florida on Monday 7/6/09 at 9 a.m. All are invited back to the “Tee Room” at Seven Lakes, S. 41 & Big Pine Way across from Bell Tower Shops.In lieu of flowers, a donation may be sent to:Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation, Melanoma Fund/Merkel Cell Carcinoma, In Memory of Eduardo Londono, 12902 Magnolia Dr., Tampa, FL 33612.
