EDWARD WRIGHT CARLSON
October 31, 1939 – March 10, 2025
Edward W. Carlson, age 85, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully Monday, March 10th, 2025 at Gulf Coast Hospital. He was a native of Stamford, Connecticut. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He received his journeymen’s license and served in the Air Force Reserves and Air National Guard in New York. He worked as a General Superintendent for H.D. Rutledge and Sons and Carlson and Harris Construction companies for the majority of his life. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathryn (Pirkle) Carlson and loving daughter Valerie (Carlson) Miskovich.
Edward is survived by his loving daughter Virginia Guy (Richard Lynch) of Lehigh Acres, FL; his granddaughter, Riley Miskovich and son-in-law Joseph (Bill) Miskovich of Fort Myers, FL; his childhood friend Ed Clark; family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL for a visitation in his honor on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service will follow onsite.
