Edward V. Kobelski's Obituary
Edward V. Kobelski, 86, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral, Florida. He was born July 3, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Vincent Walter and Mary Sofia Kobelski. Formerly of Lindenhurst / Long Island, New York, Edward worked 37 years on the railroad, retiring as a Communications Overhead Line Construction Supervisor before retiring and moving to southwest Florida in February, 1989. He was a devout member of the Catholic Church attending Mass regularly and participating in the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Vincent and his sister, Cecelia. He is survived by his wife of 66+ years, Mildred Kobelski; his six children, Kevin (Margaret), Mark, Gerard, Gregory, Bruce and Edward (Sandy). He also leaves behind his five grandchildren, Kevin (Stacey), Julia, Jennifer, Jessica and Renaldo and his great granddaughter, AvaLeigh. Visitation for Edward will be 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm Friday, November 13, 2015 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12pm Monday, November 16, 2015 at St. Andrew Catholic Church 2628 Del Prado Boulevard, Cape Coral, Florida 33904. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Peace Mausoleum of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Myers. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to St. Andrew Catholic Church 2628 Del Prado Boulevard, Cape Coral, FL 33904.
