Edward J. LaMothe's Obituary
Edward J. LaMothe, 83, of Fort Myers, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Hospice in Fort Myers. Edward was born in Hartford, CT to the late Ovila Adelarde LaMothe and Alexina Mary Langevin.
Edward graduated from H.P.H.S., Hartford, CT in 1954 and also earned his Associate Degree in Science at Manchester Community College in CT in 1986. He retired from Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford, CT after 35 years. He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothee Rivard of West Hartford, CT; and his son, David L. Simmons of San Francisco, CA.
Survivors include his loving wife, Elaine E. LaMothe of Fort Myers, FL; one son, Marc E. Simmons and his wife, Monica Meyerhoff of Attleboro, MA; two stepsons, Glenn Pulito and his wife, Mary of Altamont, NY and James Humphrey and his wife, Sandra of Clermont, FL; five grandchildren, Yvonne, Christopher, Jeffrey, Thomas and Emma; brother-in-law, Brian Pulito and his wife, Margaret of West Hartford, CT; nephews, Steven Pulito and his wife, Kirsten of Missoula, MT and Daniel Pulito and his wife Andrea of Brooklyn, NY; two grandnephews, Forrest and Anthony; one grandniece, Olive; as well as many more dear family members and friends.
Graveside services will be held privately.
