Edward T McCoy's Obituary
Edward T. McCoy of North Fort Myers passed away on the morning of Monday, August 8th, 2022, under the care of Hope Hospice. Ed was born July 28th, 1939, to Francis and Ann McCoy in New Jersey.
Ed's family moved to Florida when he was very young, and he had known no other home other than Florida. He was a long-time member of the Catholic Church. He Graduated from Alva School in Alva Florida in 1957. He then served in the Marine Corps between February of 1958 and February of 1962, he later served in the Air force between March of 1962 and December of 1965. Following his service, he was a member of the Local Union 630- Plumbers & Pipe Fitters of West Palm Beach, FL. Ed loved watching sports and playing golf throughout his life.
Ed is preceded in passing by his parents and his son Edward McCoy Jr.
He leaves his memory with his survivors, loving wife Rosalyn McCoy of North Fort Myers, daughters Suzan McCoy and DonnaMarie (Darrell) Dison, sisters Joyce Werner, Yvonne Wooten and brother Donald McCoy. Grandchildren Shanna Geier (Jeff), Amanda Dison, Marissa Burgos (Tony), and Alan Joshua Evanoff. Ed had many beloved great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests to send donations to the team of Hope Hospice 239-482-4673, 2430 Diplomat Parkway East Cape Coral, FL 33909.
Ed's family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with his final arrangements. There will be a graveside service in the Field of Honor section of the Cemetery on Friday August 19, 2022 at 10:00AM.
