Edward W. Scoppettuolo's Obituary
Edward W. Scoppettuolo, 86, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at HealthPark Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida. Mr. Scoppettuolo was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts on November 29, 1926, a son of the late Damiano Scoppettuolo and Angelina DeLuca Scoppettuolo. Edward was a barber for 68 years in Weymouth and here in Fort Myers. He served his country faithfully and honorably in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the VFW and American Legion for many years. Edward was of Catholic faith. He was a member of the Guiseppe Verdi Lodge # 278 in Weymouth, Mass. He had resided here for the past 27 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 68 years, Florence Olson Scoppettuolo of Ft. Myers, FL; his sons, Edward Scoppettuolo, Jr. of Weymouth, MA, Bob Scoppettuolo of Ft. Myers, FL and Brian (Lisa) Scoppettuolo of S. Weymouth, MA; his seven grandchildren, Michele Curley, Nicole Scoppettuolo, Mandy Scoppettuolo, Deanna Nathan, Christopher Scoppettuolo, Jodi Scoppettuolo and Alyssa Scoppettuolo; his three great grandchildren, Allison, Andrew and Alana; his sisters-in-law, Barbara and Doris; also his canine companions that he loved. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida. The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday beginning at 12 Noon until time of service. Entombment will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
