"It's been a long day, without you my friend. And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again". I love you Dad. And miss you terribly. 😘
Joyce, Robin, Tammy, Dusty, Brian, Lori: So sorry for your loss. I wanted to share a few of my memories of Ed with you. I always enjoyed when your dad would be sitting there and he would get that devilish smile on his face. I would ask him what was so funny. He would always have a funny comment or joke that he would say to me, that would always make me laugh. Being a military guy, when he was disciplining his kids he would get that military look and voice, especially when he was addressing those two knuckle heads Dusty and Brian. They would get this look on their face and immediately stand at attention while their father was talking to them. I got so much pleasure out of that, because I was not on the receiving end. It was always an uneasy feeling for us as family members, knowing that you had a loved one serving your country at war, and especially with Ed flying those helicopters in many dangerous situations. My fondest memory of Ed was when he completed his final tour in Vietnam and your family came to my parents house for a visit. He pulled this bag out and with a big smile said to me, this is for you. It was a black jacket. On the back of that jacket was a colored map of Vietnam and the caption said, WHEN I DIE I WILL GO TO HEAVEN BECAUSE I SPENT MY TIME IN HELL. I thought the jacket was the coolest thing and I wore it all of the time. Ed did spend his time in hell, and now we know that he is in heaven. Both Karen the kids and I hope that all of you find peace in the up coming days.Love to all.Garth

We are saddened by the loss of a dear friend but share the joy of Edwin's victory in Glory this day. Our prayers continue for Joyce and her family. Ed was a dear friend, who for the last several years was a strong supporter of the Gabriel children and ministry. His genuine concern for the Gabriel House was not only a financial blessing, but his frequent delivery of turkey and hams for the holidays was his personal blessing. We honor him as a true patriot in serving his country with military valor. Ed, Annie and Gabriel children
