Eleanor Carnahan Winton's Obituary
Eleanor Carnahan Winton, 85, of Ft. Myers, FL, went home in the arms of God on Thursday, February 17, 2011.?á ?Ç£Gamma?Ç¥, as she was known by those who loved her, spent her last few days surrounded by many of her family and friends.?á Even through her final illness, she remained the sweet, loving, and selfless person that made her such a special lady to all who knew her.?á Eleanor, a native Miamian, was the daughter of the late Delbert and Nellie Vaughan.?á She was the wife of the late Leland Carnahan Jr. for 25 years, and the wife of?á the late Ernest Winton for 20 years.?á She was preceded in death by her brother, Delbert Vaughan, Jr., her son Raymond Carnahan and her daughter, Sue Ellen Carnahan.?á Eleanor is survived by her sisters, Marjorie Usher and Beverly Stanisky;?á her sister-in-law Louise Vaughan;?á her son, Tom (Bobbi) Carnahan;?á step daughters, Gege (Serge) Polevitzky, Ellen (Doug) Oppenheimer and Betsy (Jim) Blake;?á Eleanor has eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.?á A Celebration of her Life will be held at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2439 McGregor Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at 4:00 PM.?á In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to Covenant Presbyterian Church, Ft.
