Eliuth “Ellie’ Fiolka., 82, a resident of Fort Myers, Fl since 1998, formerly of Joliet, IL passed away Friday, May 26, 2023, in Fort Myers, FL. She was born July 27, 1940, in Los Pozos Guerrero, Mexico to the late Leopoldo Aviles Pineda and Cecilia Garcia Saucedo
Ellie was a proud Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for 30+ years. She worked for many years at Silver Cross Hospital (IL), St. Patrick’s Nursing Home (IL), and the Lee County Health Department with the Healthy Start Program (FL). She was a loving wife, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother. She loved bowling, painting, beading, dancing, crocheting, and being around family.
Ellie is survived by her two loving daughters, Elizabeth Lara of Fort Myers, FL and Ruth Lara of Greenville, SC; two sisters Milka Aviles of Chicago, IL., and Eunice Schwarz of Bloomington, IL. 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; as well as 1 great-great grandson.
A visitation will be held from 10:00am – 11:00am, Wednesday May 31, 2023, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL. A funeral service will begin immediately at 11:00am -12:00pm, burial will follow.
