Elizabeth Marie “Betty” Swoboda, 93, a resident of Ft. Myers, FL since 1985, formerly of Virginia Beach passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 under the care of Hope Hospice. She was born July 9, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA to Walter and Dorothy Martin, now deceased.Betty was a longtime volunteer at Hope Hospice, Ft. Myers, Lakes Regional Library, and HealthPark Hospital. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Butch and pets, Daisy and Goober.Betty is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Summerell and her husband Carl of Ft. Myers, FL and Joanne Robinson of Ft. Myers, FL; one granddaughter, Carly Leotti and her husband, Dominic; two great grandsons, Galen and Kahless Leotti; as well as many extended family members and friends.Services for Betty will be held in Virginia Beach at a later date.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Ft.
