Mrs. Sanders was the kindest person I had the honor and privilege to know. Growing up in Fort Myers and being Hayden’s friend, Mrs. Sanders was a mother figure to all of us who knew her. My heart goes out to the Sanders Family.
We began life’s journey not knowing where destiny will take us. How we live our lives and what we find along the footsteps of life are the TREASURES that makes our journey memorable and makes us who we are. Leaving this life, knowing we’ll be missed…is a BLESSING. Betty will be missed by a multitude, friends, family, those fortunate enough to have met her and saw the goodness in her, and all those whom lives she touched without them ever knowing she helped them in some way. Betty always had time for those who needed her. Can there be a greater gift to fellow man than the gift of an outstretched hand? This is what Betty gave…..Yes, Betty will be MISSED! To her family: your hearts are broken but having all your sweet memories of her will be as warm as her arms around you. God be with you, as she is with HIM.
Our thoughts, prayers and love go out to the family…
We extend our deepest sympathy to the Sanders family. You are in our thoughts and prayers . Sandra Flint Walworth and Larry Walworth
Betty was a very generous and compassionate lady. As a newcomer to Fort Myers in the 60’s, I remember her as making me feel welcome and encouraging me to get involved in garden club and woman’s club activities. When we would see each other over the years she would always laugh with me over those early memories. She was much loved by her friends and will be greatly missed.
Betty was a beloved member of the Encouragers Sunday School class at First Baptist/CityGate, providing quiet insight into our lessons and living out a life of faith. We will hold those memories a little closer today while grieving her loss, and celebrate her having lived her life “in such a way as to get the prize.” (1 Cor 9:24) Sending our condolences to her family and many, many friends. She is greatly loved and missed.
We are so sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. My son, Paul, became good friends with Hayden at an ESA IC convention. ESA love, hugs, and sympathy from Paul Reahard and Diane (Reahard) Bonkers.
Prayers for Betty’s family and her extended ESA family. She was loved and admired by us all. Our arms of love and friendship will wrap around all the wonderful memories we have of her.
Prayers for the family. Betty was a very special lady and I will always keep close our ESA sister connection.
