Elizabeth Sarah "Betty" Rogers' Obituary
Elizabeth (Betty) Sarah Rogers, 88, passed away August 5, 2023. She was born August 26, 1934 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Albert Daignault and Sarah (Muscolino) Gangi.
Betty retired after working in the insurance industry, including Sentry Insurance in Concord, MA. She moved to Cape Coral in 1998 from Burlington, MA. She was a member of the Cape Coral Social Club, Sea & Shore Cruisers and the Merry Mariners Boat Club. She loved boating, camping, dancing, spending time with her family, and life in general.
Preceding Betty was her husband of 59 years, John J. Rogers. She is survived by her sons, Edward W. Rogers and his wife Eileen of Burlington, MA; John J. Rogers, Jr. and his wife Michele of Hopkinton, MA and Gary P. Rogers and his wife Wanda of Hampstead, NH; and her daughter, Kathleen E. Warren of Cape Coral, Florida. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Mia, Leigh, Gina, Lauren, Matthew, Kenneth, Renee, Michael, Sarah, Julie, Zachary, Kyle, and Marc; and her great-grandchildren, David, Billy, Caitlyn, Emelia, Braxton, James, Bennett, Madelyn, Ellery, and Brianna.
For Betty's Massachusetts family and friends, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Saint Malachy Church, 99 Bedford Street, Burlington, MA 01803. There will be a reception in the church hall following the mass.
A Memorial Mass for Betty's family and friends in Florida was previously celebrated at Saint Katharine Drexel Church in Cape Coral on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
