Ella Evelyn McLeish's Obituary
Ella Evelyn McLeish, 99 years of age of North Fort Myers, Florida passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Springwood Court in Fort Myers, Florida. Mrs. McLeish was born in Lola, Kentucky, on May 24, 1914, a daughter of the late Lloyd A. Williams and Grace M. Myers Williams. Evelyn was a veteran of the U.S.Army and served from1942-1945 and received an honorable discharge. The fact that she had served her country was a highlight of her life. Evelyn served for over 20 years as the secretary for the City of Steubenville, Ohio. She was the widow of George R. McLeish who passed away in 1994. Also preceding her in death were her three sisters, Aletha MacTavish, Birtie Saul and Mary Anne LeClerc. Evelyn was an avid reader always reading mystery novels, she enjoyed the Theater and listening to music. She also took up golf after moving to Florida in 1978. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Karin McLeish-Delgado and her husband Anthony of North Fort Myers, Florida and Linda Willis and her husband Jack of Torrence, California; her two grandchildren, Jason Kendrick and Jacob Kendrick; and her 2 great grandchildren, Emma and Nathan Kendrick. At the request of Mrs. McLeish there are to be no funeral services held. She will buried with her late husband in Fort Steuben Burial Estates in Steubenville, Ohio.
