Kosty, Gwen and John-my prayers and condolences on the loss of your wife/mother. I remember my mom Elsie and Aunt Edie, Kosty and Ellen taking trips together to the beach or just being together. They were fun memories for Mama. Mama, my dad Harold, Edie and Ellen all grew up together and shared so many memories. I remember Ellen as a smiling, loving woman who accepted anyone into her life with joy. Lean on the Lord Jesus as you go through your time of sadness. He knows and understands.

Ellen was such a special aunt that I deeply loved and will dearly miss. I have so many fond memories as a child visiting Ellen and Kosty's house in Hamilton and spending nights there on many occasions. Our families had spent a lot of time together growing up and my mother and Ellen were always very close. They had a special bond with each other, sharing all of life's ups and downs together. Ellen was such an inspiration and admired and respected for so many reasons including her wisdom, compassion, intelligence, and laughter she always brought with her. She never hesitated to express her love with lots of hugs and always showed a deep and genuine conern for each of us. Ellen had many talents and I have many of her beautiful paintings hanging in my house. I look at them fondly, each holding their own special loving memory of our very dear Aunt Ellen. Ellen was my great-aunt and someone I admired growing up. She and Kosty had my wife and I to their home in Hamilton on several occasions for lunch and wonderful conversations. I have a beautiful painting of the moon shining off the ocean water hanging in my familyroom that is a reminder of her talent and generosity. She will be greatly missed.
