Elliot Rudich's Obituary
Elliot Rudich, 65, of Fort Myers Beach, passed away November 17, 2012. He was born May 30, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York and relocated as a child with his family to Miami, Florida where he was raised. Elliot served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enlisted in 1965 and was honorably discharged after 4 years of service in 1968. Elliot was an avid antique car collector which included many hot rods and muscle cars. He loved watching all sports. He also loved teaching youth as he coached soccer and baseball. Elliot attended the BCS title games 11 years in a row with his son Alex. Elliot was adored by his children and daughter in laws. He was a loving family man and put his family first and foremost. Elliot leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son: Alex Rudich (Emily) proudly of Fort Myers, Florida and now making his home in Tampa, Florida and his daughter Piper Rudich (Sarah Wilson) of Cape Coral, Florida. Elliot also leaves behind his brother, Hal Rudich of North Carolina, his companion Leuna Callahan and his beloved cats, Simon and Carly and his beloved dogs Sunny, Lucky, Bella and Max. A Graveside service with Military Honor Guard is scheduled for Wednesday November 21, 2012 at 10 AM. The burial will take place at, Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907. (239) 935-0555.
