Emily L. Crep, 96 of Fort Myers, Fla. passed away on Saturday, February 28th, 2015 peacefully in her home.Born in Staten Island, New York, beloved daughter of Michael J. and Matilda Femenella, she married Peter M. Crep in New York, December 26, 1953 .Emily is preceded by her parents; the LOVE OF HER LIFE, husband Peter Crep; brothers Second Lieutenant John C. Femenella, Michael J. Femenella, Jr.; sisters Marie Lewis and Olga White. Also, brother-in-Law George Wood; sister-in-law, Marilyn Femenella; grandson, Ryan J. Crep. Emily is survived by her precious sister Gloria F. Wood of Fort Myers, accomplished brother Arthur M. Femenella of Brooksville, FL and children Peter (Donna) Crep, Clinton, NY, Gary (Marlene) Crep, Pompano Beach, FL, Thomas (Debbie) Crep, Fort Myers, FL, Emily (Richard) O’Neill, Fort Myers, FL and Suzette (Ronald) Meyers, Aiken, South Carolina. Gramma leaves behind 14 lovely grandchildren; Jason (Chantel) Crep, Clinton, NY, Sean Crep, Atlanta, GA, Erik (Ely) Crep, Coral Gables, FL, Melanie Crep, Pompano Beach, FL, Tiffany Crep, Ft. Myers, FL, Ashleigh Dellinger, Tallahassee, FL, Conor Crep, Ft. Myers, FL, Lauren O’Neill, Gainesville, FL, Sean O’Neill, Gainesville, FL, Ronald Meyers, III, Wilmington, North Carolina, Ashley Meyers, Hilton Head, South Carolina, Meghan (Scott) Green, Hilton Head, South Carolina and Corey Meyers, Bluffton, South Carolina. Great Gramma also leaves behind 6 great-grandchildren; Trent Crep, Clinton, NY, Brady Crep of Atlanta, GA, Cole Crep of Coral Gables, FL, Hunter and Ethan Meyers of Wilmington, North Carolina and Cameron Green of Hilton Head, South Carolina.Emily enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, crocheting, beading Christmas ornaments, playing solitaire, word search puzzles, plants and providing child care for many families. Emily graduated from Tottenville High School, Staten Island NY. Following high school she worked as a certified dental assistant and went on to serve WWII veterans at Nazareth Hospital as a registered dietitian. During Emily’s blessed long life many hearts were touched by her wisdom, encouragement and love. We will miss her dearly.A memorial service honoring Emily will be at the Church of the Resurrection-Chapel, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive, Ft. Myers on Friday, March 6th, 2015 at 11:30 AM. Reception following at Cristof’s on McGregor Blvd.The family wished to express a heartfelt gratitude to Hope Hospice of Fort Myers.
