Erik Stevenson's Obituary
Erik Stevenson, 34, a resident of Fort Myers Beach, FL since 2019, formerly of Whitesboro, NY passed away unexpectedly in Puerto Rico on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was born August 9, 1987.
Erik was educated in Whitesboro schools. After high school, he served one tour in Afghanistan with the Army National Guard 827 Engineering Company. He continued his education at ATS Heavy Equipment Training School and Power Lineman School. He worked numerous jobs throughout his short life. He was a volunteer at the Gladiolus Food Pantry, where he found great joy. Erik loved an adventure and was quick to act on one if the opportunity arose. His personality was infectious.
Erik is survived by his loving mother and stepfather, Karla (Nicotera) and Kyle Hill; adored daughter, Alexis Harris; maternal grandmother, Ann Marie Nicotera; aunts, Donna Teffner (William), Joy Ferrone and Lisa Mikkelson; uncles, Marc Nicotera and Dave Ferrone; four cousins, Marissa (Vincent), Kristina (Mark), David and Tiffany (Nick); three very special friends, Cristina, Tiffany and Jenn; his beloved fur babies, Freya and Loki; as well as many extended family members, his Hill aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Erik was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Salvatore J. Nicotera; grandfather, Richard Slagel and Uncle, John Segal.
Erik's father, John Scott Stevenson joined him in heaven on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated 11:30 AM, Friday, June 17, 2022 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 200 N. James Street, Rome, NY 13440. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:30 AM until the service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gladiolas Food Pantry Building Fund, 10511 Gladiolus Drive, Fort Myers, FL in loving memory of Erik S. Stevenson.
