Ernest A. Magyar's Obituary
Ernest A. Magyar, 94, of Fort Myers, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013. He was born January 1, 1919 in Perth Amboy, NJ and moved to Fort Myers in 1988. He served the United States Navy as a Commander during 7 invasions including 3 tours of duty in World War II and the Korean War. He received his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselar Polytechnical Institute and later his M.B.A from NYU. He was the CEO of Magyar and Associates and was a manufacturer’s representative for numerous defense companies. Mr. Magyar leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 72 years, Edna L. Magyar; his two daughters: Mary Eaton and her husband, Frank and Faith McKenna and her husband, Dave. Also surviving are four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Franklin Magyar.
