Estela Rey's Obituary
Estela Rey of Cape Coral, FL passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Thursday, August 27, 2020 in Cape Coral. She was 98 years old.
Estela was born February 27, 1922, in Dominican Republic, the daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Casimiro Fernandez. She married Bernard Rey on January 7, 1950 in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic. She was a homemaker and beloved mother to six.
Estela was a member of First Assembly of God Spanish in Fort Myers. She was a longtime donor to St. Jude’s. She enjoyed reading the Bible along with her daily devotionals: The Daily Word and The Upper Room. She loved to dance, swim, travel, eat and celebrate life with friends and family any chance you could.
Estela is preceded by her husband Bernard Rey and her daughter Yanet Rey. Surviving are her children: Violeta Pino of Cape Coral, Nancy Rey of Cape Coral, Jose Rey (Stephanie) of Huntsville, AL, siblings: Marina and Ballella Fernandez of Dominican Republic, and a total of 42 grandchildren great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service for Estela will be celebrated by Pastor Tito Gonzalez at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 5, 2020 inside the Sanctuary at First Assembly of God Ministries, 4701 Summerlin Road, Fort Myers, Florida 33919, (239) 936-6277. Friends will be welcome to arrive for Visitation an hour preceding this ceremony beginning at 9:30 AM also inside the Sanctuary. Services will conclude at the church.

Estela Rey de Cape Coral, FL falleció pacíficamente en casa con su amorosa familia a su lado el jueves 27 de agosto de 2020 en Cape Coral. Tenía 98 años.
Estela nació el 27 de febrero de 1922 en República Dominicana, hija del Sr. y la Sra. Casimiro Fernández. Se casó con Bernard Rey el 7 de enero de 1950 en Boca Chica, República Dominicana. Era ama de casa y amada madre a seis hijos.
Estela fue miembro de la Primera Asamblea de Dios Español en Fort Myers. Fue una donante de larga data de St. Jude’s. Le gustaba leer la Biblia junto con sus devocionales diarios: La Palabra Diaria y El Aposento Alto. Le encantaba bailar, nadar, viajar, comer y celebrar la vida con amigos y familiares cualquier oportunidad que pudieras.
Estela es precedida por su marido Bernard Rey y su hija Yanet Rey. Sobrevivientes son sus hijos: Violeta Pino de Cape Coral, Nancy Rey de Cape Coral, José Rey (Stephanie) de Huntsville, AL, hermanos: Marina y Ballella Fernández de República Dominicana, y un total de 42 nietos bisnietos y gran bisnietos nietos.
