Euna Reedy King's Obituary
Euna Reedy King passed away peacefully on June 14, 2022 at the age of 97. Euna was born December 11, 1924 in Shopville, Kentucky. She married Daniel Clifford King April 15, 1944. They raised 3 children as they moved around the country with Dan's Air Force career.
Euna always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger. She made friends everywhere she went. Euna was very sociable and in her younger years hosted many parties and events with her husband.
Euna worked in real estate for a short time but spent most of her time raising her family and actively volunteering with community organizations and beautification committees. She was school room mother and PTA representative when her children were young. Later she supported her husband with Military Order of the World Wars, Southwest Florida Veterans Assoc., and Kiwanis Thrift Shop. Euna and Dan always looked forward to taking students to a conference to promote leadership skills. She preceded in death by her spouse of 62 years, Daniel King and granddaughter, Amanda Lawson.
Survived by her three children, Michael R King (Cheritha King), Patrick D King (Barbara Tracey-King) and Cynthia R (King) Lawson (David Lawson); her eight grandchildren, Angela King, Michael King, Scott King, Melinda Lawson Roy, Clayton King, Zachary Lawson, Daniel King, and Tracey King; as well as two great grandchildren Zade King and Reagan King.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
