Evan Michael Ames' Obituary
Evan Michael Ames, 20, a lifelong Florida resident passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 7, 2023. He was born June 10, 2003 in Fort Myers, FL.
Evan was a very sweet and special young man who touched so many lives, he had an infectious smile loving heart and kind soul, when Evan called you a friend, you had a friend for life! He was an exceptional baseball player who loved the game, he loved playing golf and fishing and bible study with his teammates, he was a gentle giant by those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Kay Ames; maternal grandmother, Betty Lee James; and his uncle, Jack Ames.
Evan is survived by his loving parents, Jerome and Traci Ames of Fort Myers, FL; one brother, Cole Christopher Ames of Fort Myers, FL; maternal grandfather, Troy Eugene James of North Fort Myers, FL; one aunt, Lisa Shacklette of Fort Myers, FL; as well as many cousins, extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 12 NOON following the visitation at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Lockwood as the officiant. Burial will be held privately.
