Evan Byard Robinson Sr.'s Obituary
On Sunday, November 18, 2018, Evan Byard Robinson Sr., loving father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 67. Evan was born April 21, 1951 to Lewis Robinson and Ellen Drake. He grew up Miami, Florida with his three brothers Robbie, Hughie and Johnny. Evan joined the Marine Corp after high school and served his country in the Vietnam Conflict. After returning to the United States, Evan studied at Edison Community College and married Doris Wallin his former spouse. They raised two sons, Evan Jr. and Lewis, and two daughters, Bambi and Angela. Evan later formed a loving relationship with Jane Manco who he spent his remaing years with. Evan worked in the construction industry for over 30 years. He worked many long hours assuring that his family had everything they needed. Evan loved working on old cars and mending broken things. He had an extraordinary work ethic that not many people could match. Evan was passionate about his family and friends. All of his family and friends knew if they needed help Evan would be there no matter what the cost. He loved nature and life. Evan’s compassion and loyalty for people will be what everybody remembers about him the most. Evan is survived by his children, Evan Jr. and wife Jessica, Lewis and wife Shelby, and Bambi, and Angela. He is also survived by ten grandchildren Jaydee, Kason, Loran, Kylie, Heaven, Abigail, Evan III, Molly, Raylynn, and Logan. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 24th, 2018 at Winkler Road Baptist Church, 5770 Winkler Rd. Ft. Myers, FL, at 11am. He will be buried in Gainesville, FL at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery a green burial per his request 7204 County Rd 234 Gainesville, FL 32641 On November 26, 2018 at 12:00pm
