Evangelina Luz Cajas' Obituary
Evangelina Luz Cajas, 71, a 36 year resident of the United States, formerly of Guatemala passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at her residence in Alexandria, VA. She was born July 25, 1949 in Guatemala City, Guatemala to the late Antulio Cajas and Luz Escobar.
Evangelina was a strong, loving, and God fearing woman. Evangelina was a talented poet who touched the hearts of many through her beautiful writing. She also enjoyed singing, specifically songs of worship to God. She made an honorable living through the art of being a talented seamstress. Evangelina worked hard to provide a great life to her children, but most importantly by showing them Jesus. Her legacy will live on forever through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many generations to come. She was overwhelmingly loved by so many around her and managed to be a vessel of God to many people in her life. Her beautiful smile, beautiful poetic words, and most importantly her beautiful spirit will forever live in the hearts of her loved ones.
Evangelina is survived by her loving children, Roque of Charlotte, NC, Justo (Nora) of Guatemala, Onelda of Cape Coral, FL, Antulio of North Ft. Myers, FL and Laura (Victor) of Alexandria, VA; two sisters, Elizabeth of Las Vegas, NV and Miriam of Guatemala; one brother, Josue of Guatemala; 12 adored grandchildren, Eva, Alejandra, Mindy, Antulio, Dorieva, Onelda, Anthony, Luis, Layla, Emily, Vicky and Pedro Pablo; 8 great grandchildren, Danya, Edmar, Emmanuel, Edany, Elian, Evmarie, Edgar and Alina; as well as many extended family members and friends.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Monday, November 23, 2020 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 AM until the service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Myers, FL.
