Evangeline Lemonakis' Obituary
Evangeline Lemonakis of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 following some recent health challenges. She was 90 years old.
Evangeline was born on July 20, 1932 in North Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, the beautiful daughter to Helen (Nicholas) and John Vagias. She spent her career in Administration with U.S. Home where she worked as a Secretary for many years. She was the devoted wife to Mike Lemonakis whom she leaves to cherish her loving memory. Evangeline also leaves behind her cherished sons John and Chris Lemonakis, several grandchildren, a number of extended family members and a great many others who were proud to call her a friend. She will be warmly remembered and fondly missed by everybody she knew.
A Funeral Service for Evangeline will be celebrated by Fr. Dean Nastos at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 inside the Sanctuary at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 8210 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, Florida 33919, (239) 481-2099. Guests will be received for an hour preceding this service beginning at 10:00 AM for Visitation also inside the Church building. Immediately following the conclusion of these ceremonies, family and friends will proceed to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555, where Evangeline will be laid to rest at the Mausoleum located inside the Chapel of Love.
