Evelyn Bender's Obituary
Evelyn Bender, 98, a resident of Estero, FL since 2012, formerly of Attleboro, MA passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 in Bonita Springs, FL. She was born May 1, 1922 in Brockton, MA to the late Samuel and Rebecca Steinberg.
Evelyn was a member of the Attleboro Civic Orchestra, worked as Activities Director at several nuring homes, Den Mother, Brownie Mother. She enjoyed painting and playing the violin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Bender and her grandson, Darren Schongold.
Evelyn is survived by her two children, Sheryl Schongold and her husband Kenneth of Estero, FL and Richard Allen Bender (Lita) of Franklin, TN; one sister, Roslind McNabb of California; as well as two grandsons, Robert Bender and Philip Adam Bender.
The burial at Temple Beth El Cemetery in Fall River, MA will be held privately. The family will have a Memorial Service sometime in the spring.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL.
