Evelyn Rose Glassburn's Obituary
Evelyn “Rose” Glassburn, 84, a 33 resident of Florida, formerly of Pennsylvania passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born June 3, 1935 in Mercer County, PA to the late Clifford and Georgia Perrine.
Rose was a hard worker in her early life. Working for Stanley Home Products and became friends with three other women and became known as the Golden Girls and friends for life. She also loved traveling after her marriage to her husband David. They were married in Hawaii on August 10, 1997. They also traveled a lot taking their R.V. They traveled for Florida to Washington and Pennsylvania never knowing what each days wonders will bring. She also liked going to state fair and strawberry festival. Burial of her ashes will be at a later date in Transfer Pa. Next to her so Robert “ Bobby” Gearhart. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Gearhart; and her two brothers, Emerson Perrine and Sterling Perrine.
Rose is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, David Glassburn of Fort Myers, FL; eight children, Donald Gearhart (Lisa) of Transfer, PA, Daniel Gearhart of Sharon, PA, Constance Feckanin (Alan) of Ft. Myers, FL, David Troy Glassburn (Rebecca) of Mulberry, IN, Julie Meadows (Ted) of Kokomo, IN, Patricia Steel of Ft. Myers, FL, Michael Glassburn (Jodie) of St. Cloud, FL and Kenneth Glassburn (Jamie) of Galveston, IN;one adored foster daughter, Debbie Berger; 17 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Private services are being held during the pandemic.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL.
