Evelyn Lucille Jenkins' Obituary
Evelyn Lucille Jenkins, 90, a 28 year resident of Fort Myers, formerly of Freeport, IL, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012. Evelyn was born April 27, 1921 in Freeport, IL to the late Hugo and Meta Opel. She was a faithful member of Saint Hilary’s Episcopal Church and Grace Episcopal Church for 50 years. Evelyn worked for 25 years for King Enterprises as a restaurant manager and most enjoyed being surrounded with her children and grandchildren and the Fort Myers beaches and people.Mrs. Jenkins leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 70 years, Mark R. Jenkins; her children: Dennis M. Jenkins (Miriam) of North Little Rock, AR, David A. Jenkins of Crown Point, IN and Nancy C. Goldsberry of Springfield, IL; her grandchildren: Bradley, Jason, Andy, Bryan and Melissa and eleven great grandchildren.Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church, 5011 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33901 with Rev. John Gamble and Rev. Browning officiating.
