Evelyn H Machette's Obituary
Evelyn H Machette, 106, of North fort Myers passed away on May 4, 2024. Evelyn was born March 10, 1918, to Albert and Elizabeth Huntley in Newark, New Jersey.
Evelyn has called Florida her home since the 70's. She was an avid reader, and she loved to sew. She even made her own clothing and window coverings. She was an excellent cook as well. She worked for Exxon Mobil Corporation as an executive assistant for over 30 years. Evelyn and her late husband Charlie were very active in St. Cecelia's church in Ft. Myers for many years. They were both religion instructors at the church. Evelyn and Charles were world travelers, and they visited every continent.
Evelyn is preceded in passing by her parents Elizabeth and Albert Huntley, her husband Charles Machette, nephews Frank Schaffter, Donald and Edward Krampert, sisters Lily Huntley, Eileen Schaffter, Sue Krampert, and brother Albert Huntley.
Evelyn leaves her loving memory with her cherished survivors, her nephew Robert Schaffter, and nieces Renee Huntley, Sharon Schaffter, Marilyn Krampert, and Darlene Mauti
Evelyn's family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with the tender care of her final arrangements. There will be a funeral mass for Evelyn on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 10AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church 5632 Sunrise Dr. Fort Myers, FL 33919. Evelyn will then be laid to rest by her late husband Charles at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
