Filippo Pulizzi's Obituary
Filippo Pulizzi of North Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday, March 11, 2024 while under Hospice care for some recent health challenges. He was 84 years old.
Mr. Pulizzi was born in Cianciana, Agrigento, Sicily on October 28, 1939, the proud son to Pietrina (Costa) and Gaetano Pulizzi. He moved to Rochester, New York and was a long-time employee of Eastman-Kodak Company and resided there until relocating to Southwest Florida several years ago.
Filippo was a man of few words who loved his family very much. He was married for 45 years to his wife Lina. He enjoyed his nieces and nephews company and loved them dearly. He was a skilled carpenter in his younger days and maintained a home workshop with many tools that he collected. He made many furniture pieces for his home and family that he was very proud of. He also enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.
He was the loving husband to, and leaves to cherish his memory, his adored wife Lina (Vella) Pulizzi. He also leaves behind his sister Fina Carubia, brother Joseph Pulizzi, many nieces and nephews, a great number of extended family members and an untold number of others who were proud to call him a friend. Mr. Pulizzi will certainly be warmly remembered and fondly missed by all who knew and loved him.
