Florence Brown's Obituary
Florence L. (“Flo”) Brown, 95, daughter of Carrie and Hurley Smith passed away July 16, 2010. Wife of Dale A. Brown, WWII veteran, deceased. The Browns moved from Indianapolis to Lee County in 1967. Mrs. Flo Brown was an extraordinary woman, and an active member of the community. As “boaters” they belonged to the Power Squadron, garden club, the Chamber of Commerce, the Everglades Motor Homes Club, an organ club and the Machine Knitting Club of Florida. Besides this, Flo, was a local realtor from 1969 to 1980. Flo’s talents were unlimited. Talents include; sewing, knitting, playing the organ, painting and landscaping.Florence was 3 years of age when her mother passed away. She resided in an orphanage won a blue ribbon in sewing at age 9, and graduated from Catholic high school at the age of 18. She resided in Calusa Harbour Independent Living until death. Florence L. Brown was adored by everyone she came in contact with; all her friends will miss her dearly.We will say our goodbyes on July 28, 2010 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, located at the Ossuary, corner of Summerlin and Colonial at 10:00 AM.
