To my adopted sister Fran; when Bob first introduced us I thought you were so great that it couldn't be true– you had to be a phony. But before I had time to make up my mind, you had already adopted me and my family into your family– and I adopted you as a sister. The things you did for us and the rest of the Feller family were so many that I can't possibly list them all. But the most important was the way you adopted Bob's (and mine) mother as your second mother, even bringing her to live in your house for how many years? That tenderness even including shampooing and setting her hair. My first memory of you, Aunt Fran, was at your wedding to Uncle Bob. I think I was entering 7th grade and it was the hottest day of the whole summer. You looked beautiful and fresh in yellow when everyone else was sweltering. Your smile never failed and you were kind to everyone. Thank you for always welcoming me into your house in Inverness. You never seemed in the least bit phased by snakes, big hairy dogs, or teenagers! What a wonderful gift of hospitality you always blessed everyone with. Love you!

Dear Pam and family… Just a note to tell you how sad I am to lose my special friend. Fran was an elegant, lovely lady with a warm smile and an extremely quick wit. What laughs we had! I miss her so much already. But to quote one of her clever adages, 'Shooty darn, if the dog didn't stop in the woods to….(I will let you finish the thought)….he might have won. Fran was one of my first bridge partners when I moved to Ft Myers 8 years ago. I loved listening to the stories of her life while we played cards. Fran was a beautiful, loving person and she will be missed greatly by all the ladies she played bridge with, and there are a lot of them! My deepest sympathy to Pam and Bob and the rest of the family.
