Frances M. Whitney, 82, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2012, formerly of Crystal River, FL passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bridgeport, CT on April 10, 1936 to the late Frank and Helen Brzoska.Frances was a loving and caring wife and mother who had a heart of gold. She was always there for everyone. She loved God and Bingo and was very dedicated to both.She is survived by her three loving children, Kenneth Francis Whitney (Barbara) of Philadelphia, PA, Cynthia Ann Gray (Rick) of Kokomo, IN and George Kenneth Whitney, II (Richard) of Cape Coral, FL; ten grandchildren, Lauren, Craig, Matthew, Samantha, Kenny, Joseph, Steven, Erica, Matthew and Hope; six great grandchildren, Cole, Hayley, Kyler, Chase, Ciera and Adalynn; one great great grandchild, Raenna; one sister, Carol Leary of Florida; her cousin and close friend, Dot Ianniello (Tony) of Boca Raton, FL; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband George Kenneth Whitney.A Funeral Service will be held 12 NOON, Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11:00 AM until the service time on Saturday at the funeral home.Interment will be held 11:30 AM, Monday, July 9, 2018 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
