Francis "Red" McHugh's Obituary
Francis ?Ç£Red?Ç¥ McHugh, Jr., 87 years of age, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away on January 16, 2013 at his residence in Cape Coral. Mr. McHugh was born in Old Forge, PA on April 28, 1925 a son of the late Francis McHugh, Sr. and Gwendolyn Phillips McHugh. Red was retired from the United States Government with 30 years of faithful service. Moving to Florida in 1983 from New Jersey he became head of maintenance for First Baptist Church in Fort Myers retiring at the age of 80.He was a member of Gulf Coast Baptist Church in Cape Coral, Florida. A veteran of WW2, Red served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Navy Seabee Veterans of America. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 65 years, Connie McHugh of Cape Coral, Florida; his children, Gary (Sue Ann) McHugh and Robert (Denise) McHugh both of New Jersey, Lenny McHugh, Dennis McHugh and Tylor McHugh of Cape Coral, Florida; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; a brother, James McHugh and a sister, Betty Grassick both of North Fort Myers, Florida.
