Francis Patrick “Pat” O’Malley, 77, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of South Holland, IL passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014. He was born August 13, 1936 in Aurora, Illinois and moved to Cape Coral from the Chicago, IL area in 2000. He was a member of St. Katharine-Drexel Catholic Church. Pat retired from Wiseway Foods as a Vice President with 30 years of service. Pat O’Malley is survived by his wife Irene Rempel; his children: Maureen (Pat) Sintic of Cape Coral, Rick O’Malley of Chicago, IL, David (Lucio) O’Malley of Delray Beach, Sharon (Steve) Morasan of Crown Point, IN and Kathy (Joe) Ippolito of Naperville, IL; step-children: Rick (Millie) Wise of Valparaiso, IN, Terry (Debra) Wise of Silver Lake, MI, Billy (Liz) Wise of Portage, IN, and Penny Fornari of Portage, IN; grandchildren: Jason, Stephanie, Kristen, Joseph, Michael, Meghan, Alyssa, Anthony, Jaclyn, Eric and Matthew. Also surviving are his four brothers, Richard, Robert, James and Thomas O’Malley. He was predeceased by his wife Marlene J. O’Malley, his parents John and Margaret O’Malley and his brother John O’Malley. Visitation will be held at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907 on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hope Hospice for their support in his final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, Cape Coral, FL 33909.
