Francis Charles Stanford's Obituary
Francis Charles Stanford, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, at the age of 76. Born in Dachau, Germany, on September 5, 1948, Francis lived a life rich in family, friends, and the simple joys of nature.
Francis's life was marked by his unwavering devotion to his family. He was married to his cherished wife, Patricia, for 57 years, a testament to their enduring love and commitment. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, attending every sporting event, school play, and recital with enthusiastic support and pride. His presence at these events was a constant source of encouragement and love.
Beyond his family, Francis had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, finding solace and peace in the natural world. He also shared his passion for sports by serving as a dedicated baseball coach, mentoring and inspiring young athletes.
Francis will be remembered not only for his many accomplishments but also for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering loyalty. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Stanford; his sons, Greg Stanford, Brian Stanford, and Matt Stanford; his grandchildren, Lauren Stanford, Paige Stanford, Jacob Stanford, Josh Stanford, Brinley Stanford, and Matthew Stanford; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service in his honor on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
