Frank Michael Guido's Obituary
Frank Michael Guido of Ft. Myers, FL., formerly of Naperville, IL and Chicago, IL., passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at Hope Hospice of Ft. Myers, Florida. He was 89. Frank was born June 20, 1927 in Chicago to the late Carmen & Theresa Guido. He was an Honorably Discharged (1945) veteran of the US Armed Forces, who married his loving wife, Carmel after his discharge. Frank’s’ career was spent with A.T & T ( 38 years), as well as being the owner operator of a string of family restaurants. Frank had a giving spirit and shared his talents with many. He cooked meals for guests at the Ronald McDonald House in Ft. Myers and was an active supporter of Hope Hospice and their mission. During his retirement years, Frank’s artistic talents presented themselves; providing years of joy for many to enjoy his art. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 64+ years, Carmel Guido (2014). Frank is survived by his three children; Michael (Debra) Guido of Ft. Myers, FL., Mark (Patty) Guido of Naperville, IL., & Gia (William) Chorkey of Naples, FL. Frank was also the loving grandfather of eleven grandchildren; Jason, Justin, Emily, Travis, Trent, Victoria, Michael, Austin, Jordan, Brandon and Jodi. He is also survived by two great granddaughters, Hannah Guido and Ella Guido. A memorial mass is scheduled 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 18, 2016 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 12171 Iona Road, Ft. Myers, FL. 33908. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in Mr. Guido’s name to be made to Hope Hospice 9470 HealthPark Circle, Ft. Myers, FL. Ft.
