Frank E. Heindl's Obituary
Frank E. Heindl February 17, 1922 – February 5, 2018Frank E. Heindl, 95, passed on Monday, February 5, 2018 in North Ft. Myers, FL as a resident for over thirty years. He grew up in Rochester, NY attended Aquinas and Mechanics Institutes. He next joined his father, William C. Heindl founder of Celmet Co., Inc. later becoming president working with his brother, Robert Heindl, vice president. Frank was a longtime member of the Manufacturing Engineers Society. In N. Ft. Myers, he was a member of St. Therese Catholic Mission. Frank was an active member of Herons Glen Country Club enjoying golf, playing poker and Tuesday Night Bingo. He especially loved to travel with his best friend and wife, Katie. Their trip to Africa far surpassed all the others. Frank was predeceased in 2004 by his wife of fifty-eight years, Katie Heindl. He was also predeceased by brother, Reverend Elmer Heindl, sisters, Eleanor Clemson (CA), Irene Alling Frank , and Helen Haughwout. He is survived by his brother, Robert (Elizabeth) Heindl and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his daughters Kathleen Heindl (Houston) and Patricia Heindl (Joe Farrell) of N. Ft. Myers. Our father”s ready smile, jokes and love will be sorely missed but he will live in our hearts always. A memorial mass to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts be made in Frank E. Heindl’s name to The Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center, Inc., 12468 Brantley Commons Court, Ft.
