Frank W Milbourn III's Obituary
Frank W. Milbourn III, age 83, of Painesville, Ohio and Fort Myers, FL, passed away after a brief illness on June 4, 2024, at the Gulf Coast Memorial Hospital (FL). He was the beloved husband and best friend of Sandy for 48 years.
Frank was born July 23, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio. He lived in Lake County (Ohio) for most of his life before moving to Fort Myers, FL permanently in 2008. He is the son of Frank W. Milbourn Jr. and Lucille (Buehler).
He attended Painesville Public Schools through grade 8. Frank graduated from University School (Shaker Heights) in 1958 and Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN) in 1962. He was a 1957 graduate of Culver Summer Schools in Culver Indiana.
He was an active guy in community activities including the Western Reserve Gyro Club and Painesville Rotary Club. Also, he was a member of St. Martins Society. Frank was a lifetime member of First Church Congregational in Painesville and very active member of the Lake County YMCA.
Survivors include his beautiful wife Sandy who he adored in every way. Also, his five sons survive: Frank IV (Suzanne) of Hilton Head, Bryan (Kelly) of Phoenix, AZ, Mark (Peggy) of Chicago IL, Patterson (Christine) of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Mitchell of Painesville.
Eight Grandchildren include: Corbett (Meaghan), Madison, Lucy, Ali, Frank V, Thomas, Dylan and Quinn. One great grandson: Declan.
He is also survived by brother George, sister Marilyn (Mallett), and a host of dear friends.
Frank retired from The Coe Manufacturing CO. In 1982. He then operated Uniglobe Regency Travel in Mentor.
An avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, he attended the World Series in 1948, 1954, 1995, 1997 and 2016. Frank played as much golf as possible at Madison CC, Kirtland CC, and Fiddlesticks CC (FT Myers, FL) where he and Sandy lived.
Fort Myers Memorial Gardens and Cremation will be handling any services.
